POPS

The Cindy Sheehan's rally tomorrow should be renamed "The Pro-terrorist" rally because that is what it really is. They would be rejoicing if the terrorists actually won. There sole motivation is the decline and defeat of the United States. It was their motivation 40 years ago, and it remains so. Remember, Cindy Sheehan was anti United States and pro terrorist before the unfortunate loss of her son. She has disgraced her son's memory. It is apparent that her family agrees with this because they have disowned her.

Maybe Misspent will attend the Anti-terrorist rally on Sunday.

Misspent

I don't believe that is actually POPS. If it was POPS he would know that I told MOMS last night that I was going to go.

Mrs. Peperium

Hey POPS, did you ever want a daughter? I come with not only a nice son-in-law that supports me but 2 lovely grandchildren...

Misspent, I mean, brother dear, could you take lots of photos? Avert your eyes from the naked women. Yes, Breasts Not Bombs will probably be there too. (google them up) Ask Inklings to fedex those I club baby seals bumper stickers.

Misspent

I didn't get half of that. I hear that the Sheehan thing is on Saturday, but the Iraqi Hope thing is on Sunday.

Mrs. Peperium

I heard via Bill Bennett's radio program this am that both the Freepers and the Cindy Sheehan people were on the Mall this weekend. Freepers are supporting troops. Cindy Sheehan people are supporting Cindy.

POPS

I knew that Misspent was going to go to the anti-terroist rally from MOMS. I didn't know if
Misspent wanted everyone to know and he would surprise everyone with an analysis of what he saw. I remember the demonstrations in D.C. in the early 70's. I was in the Army then near D.C and was on alert in case I was needed to save the country from the crazies. I was not happy because I could not go to the NCO club and drink beer that week-end. I wish we had "breasts, not bombs" back then.

Mrs. Peperium

Good morning Sargent POPS. A few things, I think these are the very same crazies that you were assigned to save us from back in the early '70's. They, like warriors of old have returned to their places of glory. Some glory.

The Princeton Alumni Weekly last spring caught up with some of their more famous Vietnam protestors from the '60's to see where they were today. (You can probably access the stories from their website.) My impression was these fellows thought they were more important than they were. Being the self-appointed conscience (sp?) of the nation is a job that will prey on you more than the other jobs the boys could have chosen. The one alumni who served in Vietnam as a pilot had an intact family, was a repected teacher (I think) and seemed content with his life. The others never achieved stardom like they did in their college days. They didn't seem content, but that might just be me.

As far as Breast Not Bombs, let's speak man to man here. To make the case that breasts are more superior to bombs, one would think the BNBers would want to marshal their forces and show off the best 'sets' they could find, right? Well, unless there has been serious enhancements, the best 'sets' are on young, preferably actualized and college-educated, women of the 18 to 23 years of age braket. So, why is it that Breasts Not Bombs tend to focus their recruiting on women my age? Women my age have suffered the affects of gravity and child-bearing. Things are not as they once were. (You can kid yourself but reality is reality) We are not quite as bad as the photos in National Geograhpic but a younger woman could and would make a stronger case for Breasts Not Bombs. Ahhh, but here is the rub, Breasts Not Bombs claims that it is maturity that makes older breasts more morally superior and perferable to the younger ones as they have weaned children. Their thinking proves that this really is a clear case of reverse age-ism.

Not only are the BNBers the type who espouse putting off child-rearing as long as possible; they then turn around and claim their breasts are superior because they have weaned children--the very thing they've schooled younger women with better looking breasts not to do. If you look carefully, you'll notice that the 60's generation always gets it their way. I think younger women have a real grievance here. If I were a young woman I'd run my grievance all the way up to the Justice Roberts Court.

When realizing how women behave, you understand how Hillary Clinton has gotten where she's gotten.

Quicquid

We can only regret that Mrs. P's last comment appears to stop just as another inevitably interesting declamation was about to be made.

Misspent

I have canceled my plans to go to the rallies this weekend because a) I had enough hippies for one life in Bethesda and b) I have too much reading to do and will probably write an essay this weekend. That, in a nut shell is why conservatives don't protest well. That and we're not professional, paid, protesters.

POPS, you should tell you MBA-hippies story about going into a bar.

Mrs. Peperium

Misspent, I can't believe you didn't go. Cindy Sheehan is the John Edwards of the Peace Movement. They both have the same hair and one speech.

Misspent

Hey, I made a good dinner and finished one of my books and outlined my critical essay for Monday. Certainly better than looking a sag-titted old harpies trying relive their old days back when men were actually interested in partaking in "making love, not war" with them.

Oh, and I can't stand young people who wouldn't know a fascist if they came up to them and stuck a boot up their ass. Someone's got to teach them what it really means to be dedicated to a movement or else give them a movement they can be dedicated to, not just empty piffle like that Sheehan woman and the grievemonkeys that follow her around and post pictures of sadlooking and crying black people from New Orleans on their 'blog because it makes them feel good exposing other people's (particularly those they can feel superior to) grief as a simbol of their "authentic" commitment to "authentic" politics. Bah.

POPS

There was way too much information on breasts from Mrs. P.

Since Misspent has asked me to relate my going into a bar while in the MBA program story, I will do so now.

I was in the MBA program at the University of Minnesota in 1968 when we had an evening final exam. The professor invited anyone interested to go for some beer at the Triangle Bar that was just off campus after the exam. Since we were in the MBA program and it was the 60's, we were dressed in suits. We came in the back door of the bar because it was the most convenient door as a group. What we actually did was start a stampede in the bar of all of the other patrons who ran out the front door. There was a pungent smokey odor in the air. I learned later that it was "weed." I was very innocent back then.

The result was that the bar became empty with only the bar tender left. Needless to say, the patrons thought that we were the police and the bar was being raided. This was not the last time that I was mistaken for being law enforcment. We ended up having a great time because when women started showing up we had no competition.

I am surprised that Misspent remembers that story because it has been a long time since I have told it. I had to think for a moment what story Misspent was referring to. If Ted Kennedy were there, he would have stumbled out of the bar. It is hard to run with swimming flippers and a snorkle on!

Misspent

Wouldn't it be funny if POPS didn't actually exist? I mean, how perfectly constructed for Mrs. P. was that comment? Not only did he mention hippies and weed and women, but he even threw in a jibe at Ted Kennedy being both drunk and a negligent murderer.

But POPS is real. And I remember all his stories, even the boot camp duck story.

Still perky

I'm back.

POPS

What was wrong with my reference to Ted Kennedy? He was just dressed to take his date home!

Card's wife

POPS, did Misspent happen to mention he received a call from Ted?

Mrs. Peperium

Great. POPS hasn't even agreed to be my dad and he's already criticising my posts. But Misspent's posts are always perfect. I've already lost out in this deal.

POPS is right about Ted. The Kennedy's always know who to dress. Remember Camelot? They just don't know how to behave.

Breaking news: Cindy Sheehan was just arrested protesting out in front of the White House. What will the Reverend Jackson say?

POPS

When I post on Misspent, I don't get the reaction that I am over here. People want to add to the family and everything. Misspent's posts are not always perfect. He often misspells. I am going to hear about this!

Jesse Jackson already has compared Cindy Sheehan to Rosa Parks. Now that she has been arrested the linkage is complete. I hope that she is sent to Gitmo. We could see her shuffle in chains going to pray to Allah. She could party with the people that she is supporting. The same people who killed her son. Why didn't they send Martha Stewart there?

POPS

Misspent told me that he got a call from Ted and Joe. He was suspicious that it was someone who was intoxicated that was impersonating them. Of course, one would have to be intoxicated to do a really authentic imitation. You would have to imagine Chris Dodd passed out on the floor beside you to really make it real. He said that the one thing missing were the gurgling sounds in the back ground. What really tipped him off was that they seemed to make sense.

Remember - When the liver goes, the brain dies!

Mrs. Peperium

They're eating better at Gitmo than the refugees at the Houston Astrodome.

Send the Gitmo Gal in a burkha (sp?) to Afghanistan. Give her a copy of Caravans, three camels, and a couple of sacks of legumes and rice. Let her find UbL. Either she can stop the war or become wife #53.

For the sake of the integretity of this blog and the reputation of the esteemed Senior Senator of Mssachusetts, Ted was not drunk when he called Misspent.

That's right Mrs. P. We have to uphold the high standards of your blog.

POPS

Are you saying that Ted did not call from a bar where adult beverages were being served?

Are you saying that he called during the Judiciary Hearings? I thought he sounded intoxicated while questioning Judge Roberts. Maybe he was just intoxicated by his imagined power.

Card's wife

Opps. I guess we shouldn't leave messages on Misspents voice mail.

Mrs. Peperium

Ted didn't call from a bar. He called from a sidewalk.
