Most fascinating and even more than that, edifying. Getting better and better. By all means... continue.

Mrs. P

During my second confession as a Catholic (2000) I confessed -among other things -that I had said very derogatory things about Catholic priests and nuns. Then I named names. Father Drinan and Father Greely. The nun's name I could not recall I said she was the one PBS always dragged up when they wanted to do a hit piece on the Pope. My priest - very, very old school- nodded and listened and then said Because you are new, I need to give you some advice - in future confessions, you don't need to give the names of the priests or nuns.

I responded, Father I know I didn't need to say their names. I just said them in hopes when you heard who it was, you'd go easier on me.

He almost fell out of his chair laughing.

How interesting that the successors to Fr. Drinan have no worries about "imposing" their views on Catholic institutions. According to the Obama HHS, Catholics are to pay ruinous fines for practicing their religion--which will cause them to refuse to go out and buy insurance that covers abortion pills and sterilizations. Thanks Fr. Drinan.

Mrs. P

Crackie, Father Drinan took an entire a day and a half figuring out how American Catholics could accept and promote abortion with a "clear conscience."

As a contrast, the Marion doctrines were debated for 700 years before being accepted.

Father Drinan....not one of the smarter Jesuits...

Mrs. P,

Wonderfully funny. I suspect this is no feature of the ordinary convert but of one born to be Catholic – taking the turn aware not just of angle, but camber and apex as well.

Mrs. P

Thanks George. It was like coming home -- to a loving home.
