Old Dominion Tory

A lobster roll. Mrs. Peperium, you have inspired me. Lobster rolls would be another dish on a cold day that would serve to remind one of the blessings of summer on the New England coast.
Thus inspired, I'll see if I can interest Mrs. Tory in a lobster roll this weekend.
Many thanks.

'Tis inspirational, but I must ask you -if it isn't too delicate a question - about the size of your dollops, Mrs. P. I have on several occassions been confronted with a lobstah roll which was something closer to a mayo sammich with bits o' lobstah in it, and I really don't much care for that. To me, there should be just enough to ensure that the meat and whatnot all adhere to each other.

On the subject of dollops, a lot depends on the spoon and the cook, Robbo, but I figure that someone like Mrs. Peperium who has extensive experience with New England seafood knows that only the barest amount is required for crab salad or lobster salad.

An aside: Mrs P, while I have never met you in person, I would venture to say your paragraph about the bumper cars captures, as well as anything you've written, your philosophy of life. Am I wrong?

Robbo, are you sure you haven't already swum the Tiber? That is a very Roman Catholic Boys for Art question... I think the guys might might make you club secretary at their next meeting...

Wrong? That depends. I see myself as a very mild-mannered person. The problem is no one else does.

Anytime ODT. Anytime.

Mr. Peperium

Let me add here, as the nightly toddy begins to sink in and untangle the knotted and combined nerve centers, that I have always found Mrs. P's dollops to be just the right size.

Thank you.

Yes, there's nothing quite like coming home secure in the knowledge that a fine dish is waiting for you....

Well, if Mrs. P is more generously endowed than Nigella, as she has once claimed, then I should hope so, Mr. P.

Nigella is a piker.
